Telegram Hashtag Search

Telegram hashtag search works differently from Instagram or X: tapping a #hashtag inside a channel opens Telegram's search scoped to that same channel (or, on some clients, across your joined chats) — there is no single global index of every public channel's hashtags. This makes hashtags most useful for helping your own subscribers navigate a channel's post history (e.g. #weeklyrecap, #newssummary), not for cross-channel discovery. Use 2-4 relevant hashtags per post for internal navigation; use Telegram's own in-app search or a directory like TGStat to find channels or public posts by keyword instead.
